Swearing can be defined as profane or obscene expression usually through anger. From a young age we are taught that swearing is immoral and makes one seem rude. However in today's society swearing has become day to day vocab. Words change meaning over time and what one person may view as swearing may not be the same to another.
This is usually used in situations of anger or pain. For example when you kick your toe on the bed the first thing you do if swear (then cry). This shows that we relate swearing with anger. The fact that we are using it from day to day may make us look angry when in fact we are not.
I believe that we should only use swearing appropriately. People who swear over unnecessary pieces of information in a conversation sound horrible. Swearing is obviously bad because society blocks out swearing in programmes and media.

I agree that swearing can lead to violence. One wrong word these days and a fight breaks out!
